Kepano Green

Kepano Green (pronounced Keh-PAH-no Green) is the L.A.-based pop/rock band made up of Paul Duncan, Josh Kauffman and Plu Harmon. Their sound is fresh, yet familiar as they combine irresistible pop hooks with an old-school feel.

Musically influenced by acts like Elton John, Toto and Lenny Kravitz, their material is described as "pop music...with a brain." They have been winning audiences across the country with their unique sound, insightful lyrics and solid live performance.

The band is fronted by Kauffman and Duncan with their strong vocal blend, tight instrumentation on guitars and keys, and a deep repertoire of original songs about love and faith. Originally an acoustic pop duo with two live albums already on the market, Kauffman and Duncan have been joined by Chicago native Plu Harmon (drums), and they have added electric guitars and vintage keys to their sound.

With special guest Mark Browne on bass, Kepano Green have completed their first studio album, "Waiting For Daylight," and they're currently touring the country in support of it.

The 1999 re-release of their first album on True Tunes Records helped Kepano Green add to their grass-roots fan base which has pushed album sales to nearly 20,000 units. With the independent release of this new album the band is looking for an even greater response.

Kauffman and Duncan met and began collaborating musically while attending Wheaton College in Chicago. There they combined the names of the two streets they grew up on to come up with the name Kepano Green. Harmon joined Kepano Green in 1999, and the band is now based in Hermosa Beach, California.
